Legislative Audit Advisory Commission Accepts Audit of General Assembly’s 2021 Finances; Report Available to Public Online

HARRISBURG – The bicameral, bipartisan Legislative Audit Advisory Commission (LAAC), chaired by PA House Majority Caucus Chairman George Dunbar (R-Westmoreland), today voted unanimously to accept the audit report of the Pennsylvania General Assembly’s finances for the 2021 fiscal year as conducted by an independent certified public accounting firm.

The annual audit of the various legislative departments and service agencies revealed a reserve of $233.6 million as of June 30, 2021. The audit was carried out by Boyer and Ritter LLC of Camp Hill.

Current commission members include: Dunbar, Rep. Patrick Harkins (D-Erie), Sen. Patrick Browne (R-Lehigh), Sen. Maria Collett (D-Bucks/Montgomery), Peter Barsz (House appointee), Jeffrey Berdahl (House appointee), Gregory Jordan (Senate appointee) and Ira Weiss (Senate appointee).
